DescriptionThe state has been depending on its neighbouring states to meet its increasing need for vegetables. To meet the requirement of vegetable cultivation in the state, the scheme for the development of vegetable cultivation was aimed in 1000 villages through a convergence approach. The scheme envisages promotion of vegetable gardens in schools, production of vegetable seeds, marketing and promotion of project based vegetable promotion programme. The total allocation of the scheme is Rs.200.00 lakh
