DescriptionIDDCP scheme is fully dependent on the Central Government. The main objective of this scheme are to prevent Iodine Deficiency Disorders like the incidence of Goitre, physical & mental disorders, cretinism and deafness in the State. To conduct IDD Surveillance through Medical Colleges or Research Institutions in endemic districts as per guidelines of Government of India.

Details IDDCP is a part of The National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Control Programme which was launched in the State in December 1989. Iodine Deficiency Disorders are a group of diseases starting from a visible goitre in the neck to many physical and mental disorder like dwarfness, cretin, squint, abortion, stillbirths and impaired mental functions due to low intake of iodine in food.
Eligibility criteriaPeople suffering from iodine deficiency disorders with a certificate from a competent medical authority.
How to AvailAfter obtaining the certificate regarding the disease, he or she needs to produce it before the sanctioning authority.
